Megan Everett-Skarsgård is an American screenwriter and children’s book author based in
Stockholm, Sweden.
Megan is currently working with BlackBox UK on her original series FISHER OF SOULS for the Nordic/UK regions and on the feature adaptation of Norwegian Marie Aubert’s book, GROWN UPS for Zentropa Sweden.
Her most current film WHAT REMAINS, co-written with director Ran Huang and starring Andrea Riseborough, has screened at the Locarno Film Festival 2023 and will be released theatrically by Minerva Films IT, in 2024.
Megan has worked for/with SKY Italia, Filmnation UK, Expectation Entertainment UK, Screensirens CA, and Nordisk Film SW amongst others.
She has published two children’s books with Rabén & Sjögren, a part of Nordsedts publishing in Stockholm, illustrated by Maria Nilsson Thore.
Megan began her career at Broder, Kurland, Webb, Uffner in Los Angeles, a boutique agency that eventually merged into CAA. This was followed by a position at DDB Worldwide Advertising in NYC and then copywriting and editing work for DDB Ireland, including TV spots for Carlsberg and print for Volkswagen. She was half of the creative team winning two ICAD Sharks. She has previously worked in development for Fastnet Films, Ireland.
