Since 2019, Daniel has been one of the core writers of the BBC’s iconic radio drama The Archers. To date, he has written over one hundred episodes.
Daniel’s original plays for BBC Radio 4 are The Macefield Plot (R4’s Drama of the Week) starring Siân Phillips and Stanley Townsend, The Lambeth Waltz starring Marion Bailey and Chetna Pandya, An Open Return starring Vincent Franklin and Anne Reid, The 40 Year Twitch starring Paula Wilcox and Philip Jackson, and Those Hard to Reach Places starring Anne Reid and Geoffrey Whitehead.
In 2020, his first screenplay The Lambeth Waltz was awarded development funding by the BFI.
A number of Daniel’s stage plays have received rehearsed readings including Cupboard Love (Live Theatre, Newcastle) directed by Jeremy Herrin, Extraction (Old Vic New Voices), No Such Word As Can’t (Paines Plough at The Young Vic), Past Tense and How Can I Put This? (Soho Theatre).
His short play The Winner’s Enclosure was commissioned and published by AnOther Magazine.
