Conway McDermott is a non-binary writer from Liverpool.
They’re currently writing for BBC’s EastEnders, are Playwright in Residence at Box of Tricks Theatre Company, and are co-writer on BILLIE THE KID, a new British musical recently staged at the Vaudeville theatre, currently in development with their best friend and long term collaborator Gez Mercer.
Conway won the Sky Studios Screen/Play Award in 2021, and have had work commissioned by The Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, The Theatre Royal Stratford East, Popelei Theatre Company, and the Liverpool Light Night Festival, as well as working as an artist and performer with FACT, the Liverpool Biennale, Creative Europe, ARGOS Brussels, and a handful of other organizations across the UK and Europe.
Their upcoming play, PRIESTESS is currently in development with Box of Tricks Theatre Company.
