Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister in GAME OF THRONES) has bought the film rights to Helen MacDonald’s H IS FOR HAWK.
Headey has said: “I fell in love when I read H is for Hawk. Head over heels. To be trusted to develop Helen’s wonderful book into the film it should be, is an honour and a joy.”
H IS FOR HAWK is the story of a woman who, after her father’s death, trains a goshawk. It blends nature writing with how MacDonald coped with the death of her father. It won the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non-Fiction in 2014.
